  • TUESDAY, MAY 26TH | PROSECUTION'S CASE DAY 3

    Prosecution will continue with the presentation of their evidence at 9:30 AM in Dept 602/604, 400 McAllister Street, San Francisco. Stay tuned.

  • THURSDAY, MAY 21ST | PROSECUTION'S CASE DAY 2

    Today in court we saw the examinations of five witnesses: Sergeant Dan Langford, Sergeant Eric Egide, Golden Gate Bridge District General Manager Dennis Mulligan, Officer Custodio Lopez, and Officer Casey Russell.

  • WEDNESDAY, MAY 20TH | OPENING STATEMENTS & PROSECUTION'S CASE DAY 1

    The prosecution and defense attorneys present their Opening Statements, the first presentation of the theories of their cases and anticipated evidence in front of the newly appointed jury. in the afternoon, the prosecution introduces their first three witnesses.

  • TUESDAY, MAY 19TH | JURY VOIR DIRE DAY 2

    Remaining jury members were selected through the process of voir dire and the jury for the GG26 Felony Trial is sworn in.

  • MONDAY, MAY 18TH | JURY VOIR DIRE DAY 1

    Day 1 of the live interviews of a panel of prospective jury members by the attorneys and judge.

  • WEDNESDAY, MAY 6TH | PRE-TRIAL MOTIONS DAY 3

    The prosecution and defense met at 400 McAllister Street, Dept 604 for Day 3 of Motions in Limine. 

    A limited scope § 402 hearing to determine the admissibility of evidence related to law-enforcement interactions with police liaison Sara Cantor was conducted where three California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers testified to their interactions with Cantor on the bridge. This evidence was admitted by Judge Caffese.

    The defense’s motion to instruct the jury on the necessity defense and admissibility of defense expert witnesses were argued in court. This was in response to the prosecution’s motion to exclude all experts the defense sought to bring into court to educate the jury. 

  • TUESDAY, MAY 5TH, 2026 | PRE-TRIAL MOTIONS DAY 2

    The prosecution and defense returned to 850 Bryant Street for Day 2 of Motions in Limine. Defense’s motion to quash evidence obtained from an over-broad Meta warrant from March 2026 was discussed and the judge offered rulings on motions from the previous day, including denial of the prosecution’s motion to exclude the word ‘genocide’ and denial of the prosecution’s motion to exclude evidence related to the defendants' motives.

  • MONDAY, MAY 4TH, 2026 | PRE-TRIAL MOTIONS DAY 1 AND JURY QUESTIONNAIRE

    Pre-trial Motions in Limine from the defense and prosecution were discussed and deliberated; the Jury Questionnaire was reviewed and its elements finalized.

  • FRIDAY, MAY 1ST, 2026 | TRIAL SCHEDULE

    Prosecution, defense lawyers, and defendants met the Judge at the Hall of Justice in San Francisco. A tentative schedule for the felony trial was discussed and filed motions acknowledged.

  • THURSDAY, APRIL 30TH, 2026 | DEFENSE AND PROSECUTION MEET THE JUDGE

    Judge Teresa Caffese is assigned to the the trial of the 7 Golden Gate defendants facing a count of felony conspiracy each, amongst dozen of other criminal counts.
