BHAVIKA
Bhavika grew up in San Diego (ancestral Kumeeyay land) and moved to the Bay Area for law school. Her loving South Asian family raised her to revere freedom fighters, so when she learned about the Palestinian struggle against colonialism, it just made sense. She loves playing board games (current fave is Isle of Cats), eating dark chocolate covered pretzels, and talking about God.
As a family defense attorney, Bhavika represents parents when the government tries to take their kids away. She has learned so many lessons about compassion and fierce love from her clients and coworkers. When the world seems bleak and she gets tired of the struggle (she is just a girl!), she is motivated by their strength to keep living and fighting. In a post-abolition world, she would probably spend her time coming up with fun scientific experiments like the kind they do in elementary school.
